Summer Competitions

This year the format of the summer competitions will take a different look. South Ronaldsay Golf club will have three open for this year consisting of a 10th year anniversary open (11th July), a new Pipedream Open (15th August) to go along with the clubs main open (22nd August) and not forgetting the Seniors Open (14th June).

We will continue to run a Summer League, the format of this will change slightly with the best six score recorded from 16 rounds.

A newly created 18 hole Summer Stableford will take place over nine rounds with overall best score for each hole counting.

Medal Competitions with still be towards the end of the month, with a Captains Prize (20th June) and Club Championship played over two rounds (24&27 June).

A new prize is up for grabs in the form of the Order of Merit, qualifying rounds will be April Medal, May Medal, June Medal, July Medal, August Medal, September Medal, Captains Prize, Club Championship, 10th anniversary Open, Pipedream plumbing Open, SRGC open. Point will be gained in all these competitions with 10 points for 1st, 7 points for 2nd, 5 points for 3rd, 4points for 4th, 3 points for 5th, 2 points for 6th and one point for taking part and the overall winner will be the player with the most points gained over these competitions.
