Scootie and the Summer

Hi All

Well the good news is that the course is drying out and the summer fixtures are about to go on the Web.

The winter competitions will continue for the next 2 weeks. with a possible extension to the 20th.

The use of mats however is still at the Greens convenors discretion.

Unfortunately the recent condition of the course has forced us to pospone the annual Scootie Pudding competition against Stromness. This usually marks the start of our summer season but has had to be moved to early May, an exact date is still to be confirmed with Stromness.

As always annual membership dues must be paid before you can compete in the competitions.

Please go out and enjoy the golf but be considerate to the course as its still recovering.Please replace divots, on the fairway and in the ruff, and repair pitchmarks.

Lastly we are still looking for someone to take on the role of Junior Convenor. This is an important role within the club helping co-ordinate the Juniors section which is growing year on year and we hope that continues.

We have a committee meeting on the 15th so if anyone is interested please contact a committee member.
