PGA Coaching

If you don’t already know or have not seen Brian’s posts on here.

We have a great opportunity this year for juniors and also for adults who are either coming into golf for the first time or who have a 20+ handicap.

Alan Martin, a PGA golf professional and coach for Club Golf Scotland, will be in Orkney 5 times this summer and will be holding coaching sessions at South Ronaldsay Golf club as well as at Kirkwall and Stromness.

These group sessions have been organised by Club Golf Scotland working along with ourselves, Orkney GC and Stromness GC and will see us benefit from Alan’s experience.

To make this work we need to enrol 10 juniors and 10 adults for the Roving pro scheme. The club’s involved along with Club golf are meeting the costs of most of this and all we, at South Ronaldsay GC, would ask you, as members, to pay is only £15/junior or £25/adult for 5 group coaching sessions.

I for one think this is excellent value for money since a one to one coaching session with a pro will set you back in the region of £30/half hour and you need to travel out with Orkney for them!

These sessions will run alongside our own club coaching sessions so our coaches will be helping you to get the most from Alan’s teaching.

Don’t let this chance pass you by as we may not get it again such is the demand on the Roving Pro scheme. Spaces are limited and are on a 1^st come basis and you need to be enrolled by the 20^th of March.
