Juniors Competition

In hindsight leaving this competition until the end of the season was not such a good idea , the course was as wet as it has ever been on what was otherwise a very nice morning for golf .But it did not deter any of the players from giving their all to become this years club champions.Logan Peace won the putting competition with a score of 24 , two shots ahead of Glen Scott with his brother Robbie a further two shots back on 28. (Won’t be long before they are knocking on the door for a place in the elite squad to play against the bowlers, but that’s a story for another day.)
In the primary 4 hole competition Glen Foubisters Nett 14 was a great score which was nearly matched by Lauren Kirkness just 2 shots behind on Nett 16 . Shame about the 10 on the first hole Lauren. Morgan Oxer was third on 20. Well done to Glen on his first year in the juniors.
The scoring for the secondary 8 hole competition was even closer at the top with Logan Peace just beating Robbie Scott by one shot, nett 38 to Robbie’s 39. Hard luck to Robbie and well done to Logan for retaining the trophy for another year.
At the presentation all the competitors were presented with medals for completing the course. Finally well done to those juniors who attended at least six of this summers coaching sessions they were all given their membership money back as promised by the committee.
