SRGC Seniors Open

We had 37 men play this years Seniors Open, in splendid weather, with no rain or wind! The first men started play at 09.00am, with the Ladies Teeing off around mid day, then the rest of the men went out around 3.00pm.

The Gross winner was George Coulthard who had an impressive 74 and his h/c was cut by 1.2 to 11.6 and how long before he gets to single figures!

The Nett winner was one of the first players out on the course,Brian Crawford who came in with a Nett 64 only one shot ahead of Bill Banks who was second. In third place was Alan Cuthbertson who had a 67.

Nearest to the pin on the 6th was G.Bevan and the Longest Drive on the 18th went to another Stromness player Rognald Thomson.

The putting competition went to a play off between George Couthard and Angus Sutherland, with Angus winning on the first extra hole.

Thanks to all the players who entered this years competition and to all the Ladies who made the home bakes – they were all brilliant.
